Week 3 Update (Daragh)
Hello!
This was our final prototyping week, and our there was "Time". I decided to switch things up from my previous prototypes and I made a 2D puzzle-platformer. The premise of this game is that the player can record and rewind time to navigate platforms which change activity based on levers. This one proved pretty tricky to get right as I often encountered problems with the player collision after rewinding time.
This game was also playtested by some of my peers who gave me a lot of helpful feedback. A few players felt that the game would be more engaging if the player didn't have to record time to rewind. The game could also use a bit of a graphical overhaul. Overall though, people seemed to enjoy the concept of this game.
This was the last prototype week, so from here myself and Mike will have to choose a final game concept to work on. We will have to review our prototypes thus far and decide which of them we want to use, and most importantly we will have to think about the core gameplay concept. Stay tuned to see what we work on.
