Week 2 Update (Daragh)
Hello again!
Our prompt for this week was "Corrupted Vision". I decided to base this week's prototype on a corrupted vision of the premise of my game, as if someone had misunderstood the idea. I also took this in a more literal sense and decided to make a game that looks like it's been corrupted. ;)
This week's prototype is all about viruses. Specifically, closing pop-up viruses. The player is introduced to a normal looking desktop screen, which soon begins to act strange before a minigame is sprung on them. The general idea is that the player has to close enough pop-up windows before the timer runs out to complete the game. Ideally I would have liked this prototype to have an additional minigame, but the scripting and UI management for this prototype turned out to be very time consuming.
I'm pretty pleased with how this one ended out, and making it has given me a lot more ideas for our future game. The pop-up window mechanic worked well, and I could definitely see myself using it again if our final concept is similar to this one. I also learned more about the UI in Unity, which will save me a lot of time in the long run.

Next week the theme is "Time", which could prove challenging to work with! Stay tuned to see what I come up with and please feel free to give me feedback. :)
